About Us We are a small (but perfectly formed!) agency with a strategic plan to grow to no more than 50 foster care families. In this way, we can guarantee being able to provide a personal service to our greatest asset, our foster carers. We are recruiting new carers at the moment - if you are considering becoming a foster carer, don't make that final decision until you have at least spoken to JMT Fostering. We look forward to hearing from you!

What we do... JMT Fostering recruits, assesses, trains and supports foster carers throughout central and southern Scotland. Our carers are based across the central belt from Paisley to Penicuik, in Scottish Borders, Ayrshire, Fife, Dundee, Perth & Kinross and Angus.

Carers tell us the reason they came to JMT was the high level of support offered by our qualified social workers. We have established an excellent reputation for providing long-term/permanent foster care for vulnerable children - in many cases our young people have been with their carers for over 10 years (in one case, 15 years!)

We are part of JMT Care Services, a not-for-profit voluntary organisation which provides a range of services to young people. Within this organisation, we can access JMT Young Adult Placement (a service that allows our young people to remain with their foster carers beyond the age of 18 years), JMT In-Touch (a support service for care leavers, and JMT Therapeutic Services (psychological assessment and support for young people in crisis).
